For The Love of Your Lips

Chapped lips –  one of the struggles almost every woman is facing and maybe to some men. Weather, dry air, sun exposure, frequent licking are just few of those we can consider causes why our lips get flaky. Isn’t it embarrassing to go out with such lips? Some might think you are sick or got a disease, exaggerating but possible. I am also one of those women who have chapped lips that is why I don’t usually invest on lipsticks (only to some glosses) because it only worsen the condition of my lips. I even tried getting some natural/home remedies but didn’t work. Thanks to Unilab for sending me a product that would surely help. Cheers to Celeteque Dermoscience Sun Care Soothing Lip Balm.

How the product works:
  • It contains UVA/UVB filters which prevent UV radiation from damaging and rapidly aging the lip area.
  • Its Moisturizing Oils keep the lips healthy with their softening and smoothening benefits.
  • While the Mulberry Extract helps brighten and lighten discolored lips previously darkened by smoking.
Why protect our lips? Because unlike the skin on our body, our lips don’t have the oil that helps protect them. So the job of protecting our lips is actually on our hands. Choosing the right protection is never that easy since we have to consider a lot of factors and we might not be able to handle the consequences of a wrong choice. Putting in mind that the appearance of our lips somehow adds a beauty to the face.

Here’s my take:
I love how the product comes with an SPF 15 that protects the lips from the damaging sun exposure. It really moisturizes the lips and I can feel a not so strong menthol effect and it is not so greasy so it gives a good feeling as well. And because it has a Mulberry Extract, it actually lightens my lips after a week of using the balm. I honestly have dark lips so this made me  use the product religiously. When it comes to packaging, it’s very light and can be brought anywhere. I just hope that there’s a stick version on this for an easier application and for hygiene as well. I’m actually using the product as a primer on my lips. I always make sure that I applied the balm first before any glosses.
How about you? How do you protect your lips? Do you use Celeteque Dermoscience Sun Care Soothing Lip Balm too?

  1. To be honest. I don't really suffer from dry lips too much. But I do like to use a good lip exfoliant and balm before I put on lipstick so it doesn't look patchy or dry. I haven't heard of this brand but mind you I'm only stick to a few skincare brands really. Good post
