Not a Coffee Person

I’m not a coffee person. I’m already used to letting people around me especially those who I just met know that I don’t drink coffee. Precisely because it’s becoming part of everyone’s generosity to offer coffee to visitors and the like. Sometimes I’m being mistaken as ‘maarte’ (nitpicky), but I’m not. I just don’t drink coffee, and that’s just it.

I don’t actually have the perfect reason for that, but here are few things why I don’t need coffee. An alarm clock does its job very well. Consider a snooze. But I don’t need caffeine to wake me up in the morning.

Breakfast is perfectly okay and complete without a cup of coffee. I even drink juice during breakfast if I like to. No need for coffee.

A hundred pesos or more worth of coffee is a NO for me. I don’t want to spend that much for just a coffee drink. Let’s get some food, shall we?

Keeping myself up, alive and energetic the whole day doesn’t need the help of a caffeine. Just give me food and I’ll be as jolly as I was the mid-day. I remember when I was pregnant with my son, the smell of a coffee made me sick. I don’t exactly know why, but it smells annoying! Hahaha.

Having a task to get done asap? Coffee won’t help me. In fact, the task alone makes my brain functions like it’s 8 in the morning. And please don’t ask me what I want between tea or coffee, because I don’t drink both. LOL! I have tasted coffee and tea, of course, just not my thing. So how do you I survive? Pretty easy actually! I wake up in the morning and the day begins. There are so many ways to energize without coffee. Music is one thing. Your task for that day is another.

Coffee date? Make sure that coffee shop has other drinks aside from coffee. Else, no thanks. Hahaha.

How about you? Are you a coffee person or not?

  1. Im not much of a coffee drinker as well. I just got to use to drinking one when I worked for a public relations agency and I need to be perky most of the time. But then, perhaps I am truly not a coffee person that instead, I prefer tea. Now that im pregnant, I dont miss drinking coffee. But I miss my tea.

  2. Not being a coffee person is perfectly fine. I’m not addicted to coffee, but I drink a few times a week whenever I feel like it. I love green tea though, and if I had to choose, it would be the latter for me. Have you always been a non-coffee person?

  3. Coffee person here! I drink coffee a lot, as in everyday, before going to work. It’s become a habit, or an addiction, I’m not sure between the two, maybe both haha. Though honestly I wish I was like you who despises it, because I know this habit is gonna take it’s toll on my health in the future. XD Good for you for not wanting coffee!

  4. The effect of coffee is indeed different from one person to another. I’m not a coffee person too but I love to drink one from time to time. It makes me stay awake longer. But I only prefer Frappes. lol

  5. I am not a coffee person. But,I love to drink coffee occasionally.A cup of warm coffee can make me relax. But,sure I don’t like my coffee to be too dark or bitter… 🙂

I am a full-blown coffee addict and I literally can’t start a day without it haha! But we all have our preferences like some of my friends prefer teas or fruit juices 🙂 I agree though that we don’t have to spend a lot of bucks for coffee alone because there are cheaper alternatives in the market 🙂

  7. I am not a huge fan of coffee either, but I do drink it from time to time. It’s all about personal preferences and habits. Some like it, some not. To be honest, I prefer food too! 🙂

  8. I’m not a coffee person either! I can’t drink it now anyway since I have a heart condition, but I didn’t like it before even.

  9. I looooooooove coffee! I really only have one (okay, maybe two) cups a day, but I literally can’t do anything until I have my first cup, first thing in the a.m. But that’s just me 🙂

  10. I have to say.. I AM a coffee person! I love it. It makes me so warm inside and wakes me up and gives me the energy to tackle the day. I think better and I feel happier. I sound like an addict lol but i don’t have coffee every day. I only have coffee when I am tired in the morning.

  11. I’m not a coffee person too. I don’t even like drinking tea… Occasionally I drink it if I get really sleepy at work but with lots of milk and sugar.. lol

  12. I’m not a coffee drinker, too. Sometimes I wonder why people even bother to buy coffee that is a hundred and more pesos worth when you can just buy a sachet and make it on your own. If I want to warm up, I always choose to drink hot chocos. Hot choco is life.

  13. I love coffee, I have 2 coffee machines at home, one for espresso and one for drip coffee. It’s not about needing it to wake up, I just enjoy it, much like many people enjoy tea and unless you’re spending $5 on a Starbucks coffee every day then a cup of regular coffee costs about the same as any other hot drink. 🙂

  14. I like coffee, and since visiting Eithiopia, I love coffee more because they do have the best one there, and I get mine sent over. You know what? Coffee with milk does nothing for me, but bulletproof coffee which is coffee with coconut oil gives me a crazy energy boost!

  15. I enjoyed reading this blog post especially since I don’t drink coffee. I will say I’ve tried coffee but it just wasn’t a beverage I enjoyed.

  16. It’s great that you can move through your day without the assistance of coffee. I think so many people are appalled when they meet someone who doesn’t drink coffee because they themselves cannot start their day without it. It’s like a ritual to some.

  17. I am not a coffee addict either, though, I like coffee. It is not that I CANNOT SURVIVE without coffee but its smell and aroma is a great energy driver.
Let’s see how my likenesss for coffee increases or diminishes over a period.
